The white diet โ first 48 hours
Right after whitening, the pores of your enamel are open and grab onto pigment easily. For the next two days, eat and drink pale.
Avoid
- Coffee, tea & red wine
- Dark sodas & energy drinks
- Berries, tomato sauce, soy sauce, curry
- Chocolate & dark candies
- Smoking & vaping
- Colored toothpaste or mouthwash
Enjoy freely
- Water, milk & clear sparkling water
- Chicken, turkey & white fish
- Rice, pasta (no red sauce) & potatoes
- White cheese & plain yogurt
- Bananas & peeled apples
If it would stain a white t-shirt, it will stain your teeth. When in doubt, use a straw.
Managing sensitivity
We apply a desensitizing gel before every session, so most clients feel little to nothing. If your teeth do feel tender for a day or two:
- Avoid very hot or very cold food and drinks for 24 hours
- Brush gently with a sensitivity toothpaste
- An over-the-counter pain reliever is fine if needed
- If sensitivity lasts more than a few days, check in with your dentist
Keep your smile bright
Most clients hold their results with a quick 25-minute touch-up every three months โ about ten dollars a month for a smile you like in photos.
